NEWakeSchool LogoWhat to Expect

To have a whole lot of fun!

Aside from that, here is how your day with us will go.

In the morning:

Once you have booked your wakeboard lesson or ride with us we will give you a call the day before to let you know where we will be riding for your timeslot. We always operate within 30 minutes of Burlington Vermont in various spots on Lake Champlain, Lake Iroquois, or the Waterbury Reservoir. Call if you need directions to any of these places.

Depending on your timeslot, it’s up to you to either meet us in the morning in Burlington or at the dock ½ hour prior to your timeslot. If you don’t have a car, let us know; we can probably help you out with a ride.

While it’s a little bit more of a hassle to go from lake to lake and arrange everything in the morning, we do it for you. This way, we can take you to the best water possible that day and ensure that your riding conditions are great.

On the boat:

Wheter you are a first timer or have been working on a particular trick that you just cant seem to land, our coaches have plenty of experience to notice the small things that are holding you back. We watch you ride for a few minutes and then work with you to help you improve.

If you are just trying wakeboarding for the first time it usually takes about 15 - 20 minutes to get you up and riding. We give you a few simple instructions while you are still on the boat, and demonstrate the proper body position for getting up on the board. Once you are in the water it usually takes 3 or 4 tries to get up for the first time. From there we promise you will be hooked.
